Terms of Service
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using The Olot Calendar. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the app. The Olot Calendar is developed by Olot Technologies (Pty) Ltd.
1Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using The Olot Calendar, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the app.
If you use The Olot Calendar on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have permission to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2About The Olot Calendar
The Olot Calendar is a calendar and scheduling app designed to help users manage time, meetings, appointments, reminders, saved locations, and daily plans in one place.
The app may include calendar views, scheduling tools, saved locations, reminders, connected calendar features, Olot PA, Olot Button, meeting links, and related planning features. Some features may require an account, permissions, internet access, connected services, or a paid subscription.
3Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide when creating and using your account. You agree to keep your account details secure and not allow another person to use your account without permission.
If you believe your account has been accessed or used without permission, contact Olot Technologies support as soon as possible.
4Calendar and scheduling features
The Olot Calendar helps you create, view, manage, and organise events, meetings, appointments, reminders, locations, and related calendar information.
If you connect a supported external calendar account, The Olot Calendar may access the calendar information needed to show and manage your schedule inside the app. You remain responsible for checking that your calendar information, including dates, times, attendees, locations, reminders, and meeting links, is correct.
5Olot PA
Olot PA is an in-app assistant designed to help with calendar-related support. Olot PA may help you understand your schedule, check availability, identify possible conflicts, find upcoming events, draft changes, and prepare calendar actions for your review.
Olot PA does not replace your own judgment. You are responsible for reviewing important information before relying on it. Important calendar changes should require your confirmation before they are applied.
6Olot Button
Olot Button is a safety-support feature designed to help you quickly alert selected trusted contacts when you need help.
Olot Button is not an emergency service. It does not replace contacting local police, ambulance, fire, rescue, medical, security, or other emergency services.
Olot Technologies does not guarantee that an alert, message, notification, location update, or call attempt will be successfully delivered, received, read, or acted on. Delivery may depend on internet access, mobile network coverage, device settings, battery level, permissions, third-party services, and the availability of your selected trusted contacts.
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or trusted contacts directly.
7Trusted contacts
If you use Olot Button, you may invite selected people to become trusted contacts. Trusted contacts must accept your invitation before they can receive your Olot Button alerts.
You are responsible for choosing trusted contacts carefully and keeping your trusted contact list up to date. A trusted contact may step down or stop receiving alerts where this option is available.
8Location and saved locations
The Olot Calendar may allow you to save locations you use often, such as meeting rooms, offices, addresses, or other places. Location features depend on your device permissions and app settings.
If you allow location sharing for Olot Button, your location may be included with an alert sent to your active trusted contacts. Location information may not always be accurate, available, or delivered successfully.
9Third-party services
The Olot Calendar may work with third-party services such as sign-in providers, calendar providers, meeting platforms, maps, app stores, payment providers, notification services, or analytics services. Examples may include Google, Apple, Microsoft, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or similar services, depending on the features you use.
Third-party services are controlled by their own providers. Olot Technologies is not responsible for their availability, performance, policies, outages, or changes.
10Subscriptions and free trials
The Olot Calendar may offer paid subscriptions, free trials, or premium features. If a free trial or subscription is offered, the trial period, price, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and billing details will be shown before you subscribe.
You are responsible for managing or cancelling your subscription through the app store or payment provider used to purchase it. Access to paid features may change if a subscription expires, is cancelled, is refunded, or cannot be renewed.
11Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse The Olot Calendar. You must not use the app to send harmful, abusive, unlawful, threatening, misleading, or unwanted content.
You must not attempt to interfere with the app, access accounts that do not belong to you, reverse engineer the app, bypass security controls, or use the app in a way that could harm other users, Olot Technologies, or third-party services.
12App availability and changes
Olot Technologies aims to keep The Olot Calendar useful and reliable, but the app may not always be available. Features may be affected by maintenance, updates, internet connection, third-party services, device settings, permissions, outages, or other issues outside our control.
Olot Technologies may update, improve, change, pause, or remove parts of the app from time to time.
13Limitation of responsibility
The Olot Calendar is provided to help with calendar, scheduling, reminders, locations, safety-support, and related planning tasks.
To the extent allowed by law, Olot Technologies is not responsible for losses, missed events, missed reminders, failed alerts, failed notifications, incorrect calendar information, unavailable third-party services, or issues caused by device settings, user error, network problems, or third-party systems. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
14Privacy
Your use of The Olot Calendar is also covered by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it may be used, how it may be shared, and what choices you have.
15Account deletion and data requests
Where account creation is available, The Olot Calendar will provide a way to request or start account deletion. Deleting your account may remove access to your profile, saved information, connected services, Olot PA history, Olot Button setup, trusted contact settings, and other app-related data, unless some information must be kept for legal, billing, security, or compliance reasons.
16Updates to these Terms
Olot Technologies may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If important changes are made, we may notify you through the app or another appropriate method. The latest version will be available inside the app and, where required, on the official Olot website.
